Low dry-stone walls, ploughed fields and here and there the greenery of olive trees and prickly pears, this is the pastoral landscape you will see on your drive through the beautiful southern Sicilian countryside that takes us to the outskirts of Scicli to the property we are going to visit today.

We come across the typical local building made entirely of exposed stone, arranged on a single floor and consisting of three main rooms connected to each other plus two others at either end, also attached to the building.

It is not easy to have an idea of what can be achieved by looking at bare, non-partitioned rooms, but the design hypothesis that the current owner has developed is really interesting:

At the far end of the building we find two convenient accessory rooms, the garage, created from the old stable, and a storage room, which is always very useful for garden equipment or small tools for maintaining the greenery.

In the space facing the house bordered by an ever-present dry-stone wall, an open-air kitchen with barbecue and oven for pizza or typical Sicilian focaccia could find space under an elegant gazebo.

Much consolidation work on the perimeter walls and part of the roof has already been carried out, facilitating the continuation of the renovation work.

In addition to the garden, the property has another 3,450 square metres of private land where almond trees, a few olive trees and the ever-present carob trees could find space.
