Polignano is one of the top spots in the whole of Apulia.
Polignano has a train station in town, and you can take the train from Bari airport. The train service enables one to go to places like Monopoli, continue to Brindisi, and visit Lecce, a beautiful baroque town – the Florence of Puglia.A bigger town close by (10 km) is Monopoli by the sea – with supermarkets and all amenities. The old town is charming and offers a pleasant walk along the seaside promenade, passing the two harbours.
The property is close to a main attraction in Puglia – the mile-long caves of Castellana Grotte; the archaeological excavations of the Roman Egnatia by the Adriatic coastline between Capitolo and Savelletri, an upmarket seaside town with an excellent range of restaurants.
