The masseria is an ancient fortified structure from the first half of the 19th century in the heart of the Salento countryside, surrounded by olive groves, pastures and vegetable gardens. At one time the masseria welcomed families of farmers who left home for months of farming work to devote themselves to the plantations. Today, after a careful restoration, the masseria offers its guests all the peace and tranquility that the Salento countryside can offer, promoting the flavors and traditions of this land.The ancient stables that once sheltered the cattle have become four large bedroom suites of 20 sq m equipped with twin and single beds and with all comforts. Each with its own bathroom and independent access to the garden with private patio overlooking the garden.

On the first floor of the masseria are two double bedrooms of 15 sq. m. The room with the altar is the most exclusive solution available to the farm.Inside the farm there is also the restaurant with the characteristic dining room where guests can taste local products and admire the ancient work tools that furnish the room. Guests are also allowed the use of an additional kitchen with external barbecue to be able to enjoy breakfasts, lunches and dinners on the terraced area.
In addition there is a relax and TV room, as well as a large reception room.To complete the splendid setting, the large gardens that once used as fences, now offer guests countless alternatives to spend hours of relaxation. A large lawn where you can sunbathe, a comfortable swimming pool where you can cool off in the hottest hours, a hammock lounge where you can rest in the shade of imposing eucalyptus trees.The Masseria farm offers its guests gardens and rooms for every need, to satisfy families with children and four-legged friends, couples looking for intimacy and groups of friends who want a different place to feel at home.In addition to the accommodation, the masseria has a large barn used as storage for farming equipment, tools and all those things needed for active farming.It would be possible to create additional accommodation and a change of use over current arrangement.

The east coast of Salento is rougher than the south west and for people who enjoy the sea and fishing. Some what more elegant than the east coast. Castro is beautiful with its location on top of the cliff by the sea and many villas with direct access to the sea. Santa Cesarea Terme is a spa resort, very popular with a beautiful setting and bay.
The cost from Santa Maria di Leuca to Gallipoli has many fine sandy beaches. The sea side villages are perhaps not the prettiest but room for the beach life, pizzerias, restaurants and disco music summer time.
Santa Catarina well known also for its many fine villas in the area, some antique.
The sea outside of Porto Cesareo further up the coast is probably the most beautiful and fantastic sunsets.GETTING THERE:
By air there are two international airports, served by Ryanair, Easyjet, BA and others, both easily reached; Bari in the north by two hours and Brindisi to the northeast, approximately 55 minutes.
