Case €1 Romana, Sardinia
Sardinia is the second largest Italian island in the Mediterranean after Sicily, located south of the French Island of Corsica.
It is well known for its stunning landscapes whether mountain ranges or coastal. In total the island has about 2,000 km of coastline and the capital, Cagliari is situated on the southern coast.
Sardinia is a very desirable island to live permanently or to have a holiday home. Therefore, you wouldn’t think any of the towns and villages would participate in the €1 house scheme, as real estate is generally very sought after and can be expensive!
However, there are a small number of towns and villages on this beautiful island that are participating in the Italian €1 house scheme, or Casa et €1.
In June 2021 the small town of Romana in Sardinia announced it is participating in the national €1 house scheme. We understand there may only be a small number of properties available. This town is only about 40 kms from the coast and several seaside resorts.
If interested in this new scheme, you must request and fill out a form from the municipality and send via email or post:
